The hotel INTER-CONTINENTAL is the grand-daddy of top-class, modern hotels in Prague. It was built during the communist era as the flagship hotel of Prague and no expense was spared in making this the spot to stay in Prague for diplomats and visiting dignitaries. After the fall of communism in 1989 the hotel was revamped and upgraded to include the best of modern hotel facilities. Guests cannot but help being impressed by the hotel's amazing location in the heart of Prague's luxury shopping district. A two minute walk from the hotel brings guests to the Old Town Square (where movie-goers will remember Tom Cruise filmed Mission Impossible) which UNESCO has designated as a World Heritage Site. The hotel boasts 365 air-conditioned rooms which are equipped with bathroom, direct dial phone, color TV, and minibar. Non-smoking rooms are available. It should be noted that few hotels in the Czech Republic offer non-smoking rooms (feature many deem normal in Europe and America). There is a laundry, dry cleaning, Fitness Center, indoor swimming pool, meeting rooms for up t0 600 people. The Restaurant "Golden Prague" serves international and local specialties. Less fussy dining can be had at the informal "Primator" restaurant, at the Cafe Gallery, and at the Cocktail Bar. |
